The Vision

Phase 1

To aquire a server and bandwith that we can control. With a server of our own we can offer more services to the ministries we support. Services like domain hosting, chat rooms, E-Mail accounts, mailing lists, FTP and Real Audio to name a few. All these services can be offered without cost once we own the server.

Phase 2

To offer the above services to a wider varitey of ministries. By getting more ministries involved we can more effectively fulfill the great commission and allow more Christians to minister on and off line. As more ministries become involved in this ministry we plan to establish many different mailing lists to assist the ministries in praying, helping and encouraging one another. Our goal in this is to assist these ministries to have "one heart" and "one mind" in "one Spirit".

Phase 3

To place computers (using freenets) in rest homes, hospice facilities, group homes, day programs, homeless shelters, jails, prisons and wherever else the Lord tells us to go. The goal is to preach the Gospel to every creature, to reach the unreachable. The Bible tells us

James 2:15-18

15

Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food.

16

If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it?

17

In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

18

But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds." Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do.
(NIV)

It's not enough to just tell people about Jesus, we need show them Jesus by our lives. Now is the time for the Body of Christ to start acting like a body. We need to show the love of Jesus to the world.

Although with an electronic media we can not provide for the needs of the body directly, we can network people together to meet the needs of the spirit and possibly the body as well. Using the internet to provide discipleship training, support, encouragement and ministry organization are a few of tasks the Spirit has laid on our hearts.

Consider a person in a rest home or retirement community. They are there because their body no longer works right, there is no disability in the spirit. Many of these people are "Warriors for Christ". They are mature Christians who know how to "fight the good fight", but they have limitations that the internet will demolish.

Just imagine having that kind of wisdom to guide you through God's Word. How much of a blessing would it be to have a veteran "Prayer Warrior" taking your needs to the Father.

Phase 4

Travel in the US (and possibly Canada) to put together a database that will link anyone who needs help, counsel, information, and/or support to the proper ministry, person, or state agency that can provide what they need.

In the United States and Canada the world's system will provide counsel for people with disabilities, but not scriptural counsel. What we need to do is take into consideration the totality of a disabled person's life. Who is affected? Spouses, parents, children, siblings, caregivers, friends, inlaws, Church attendance, medical personal, work, leisure activities and the list goes on and on. The fact is that when a person lives with a disability, the life of everyone they come in contact with is affected.

Everyone that is affected needs to talk to someone that has been where they are. This presents the need for the Body of Christ to start acting like a body, when one member hurts we all should feel it, but do we? The Body of Christ has so far missed the mark on this one. Our vision is to make available at no cost the ability for anyone affected by a disability to contact Christian brothers and sisters who have been in the same situation. In this way, the people who need the support most will be in contact with the people who can help the most.

Next, we plan to go state by state and find people who have the same burden as we do. Then have them contact and research all of the state, county, and local agencys that provide assistance and advocacy for people with disabilities as well as finding Chruches, Christian support groups, doctors, etc. that are accessible and skilled in meeting the needs of our brothers and sisters who live with disabilities. We also plan to have mailing lists, and live chat rooms broken down by need, location, and whatever else God tells us to do.

The task is bigger than we are, but God is bigger yet. We will be needing all sorts of help with this ministry. If you know of someone that has a similiar burden please let us know.
